A commission is a collaboration between the artist and the client combining the personality of the sitter's wishes and expectation of the the client, supported by the imaging and observations of the artist. Combined they make memories that can last for generations.
PHOTOS
I currently work from photo's provided by the client as this enables me to work outside of the day job, to produce the portrait within the time parameters agreed between the calibrates. It is hopes that as my full time work becomes part time I am able to produce images from a mixture of the two, life sittings to enable sketching as well as photographs provided by the client. When using a photo you already have, clarity is the most important thing as a blurred image is harder to work from, colour and light can be altered to a point. I would recommend using a digital camera for a crisper image and allow the image to be sent to me to work from. please note when taking subject photograph have the light facing the sitter.
